Performers are passionate about the music they make and Equinoxstudios is passionate about that too. Capturing and communicating that passion to every single person in a venue is what quality sound engineering is all about.
Understanding the best way to capture the sound of a specific instrument – knowing the right microphone or pickup to use and the ‘sweet-spot’ to place it in – is fundamental to the audience hearing the music the way the musician intended.
Specific tailoring of monitor mixes to the needs of musicians creates confident performances. Listening to musicians and appreciating the particular sound requirements that they might have on stage creates an assuring performance environment that allows them to do what they do best.
Delivering dynamic performances demands dynamic mixing. Reading the emotion of a track and complimenting the dialogue between individual musicians and their audience helps to create those heart-stopping, mind-blowing and soul-touching experiences that mark the unforgettable gigs that have changed our lives.
Originally from an Electronic Design Engineering background, Ivor Davies is is one half of the original design team behind the world-famous “Session” range of guitar amplifiers and has designed custom electronic circuitry incorporated into everything from pro-audio mixing desk pre-amplifiers through to high-power professional stage amplification.
